I was able to spend the day in Jefferson City yesterday. While I was there I got the opportunity to testify in a Senate committee hearing in favor of Jill Carter's legislation, SB360 that is called the Education Freedom Act. This bill seeks to return more control to local school systems. There's a story on it that you can check out at missouriindependent.com if you'd like to get more info on yesterday's hearing. I also had the opportunity to testify at a House committee hearing on HB433 and HB630 that seek to create the Constitutional Money Act. This legislation, if adopted, would make gold and silver legal currency in the State of Missouri and remove capital gains from State taxes on the sale of gold or silver.
I'll be going back up on March 11th. Is there a bill that you want information on, let me know. You can also find information on House bills by going to house.mo.gov and on the Senate side go to senate.mo.gov.
